Cross Pequot Avenue at this point and continue walking past the post office until you reach Station Street.  On the corners are two mid-19th century houses that are typical of what was once the common worker and laborer’s home in the old village.  Note the cast iron insurance plaque over the door at 448 Pequot Avenue.
