The three houses across from the green, looking down at the waterfront, are landmarks of this incredible mid-century boom.  Built by three brothers, Gurdon, Oliver and Austin Perry, they replaced their father’s homestead, which once stood in the center of the lot.  Gurdon, the eldest, built first in 1830.  His house on the left at number 780 Harbor Road is a simple but large-scale example of the Federal-style.
